My Hearts in my Mouth

Sommer gave me such a nice letter on valentines day , I cried . It was all so genuine and surreal to hear this from a close friend its always nice to hear things like the things she told me in this letter . Its hard to have good friends . friendships can almost always go wrong for someone in high school and I'm glad that although in the midst of everything me an sommer have come back together to find out we are who we are and we make a great pair . That we do have a bond and that we enjoy each others company and that we are not like all the other kids . I know we are different and I KNOW we will do great things . Thsnks for all the love velvet moon

Valentines Day isn't always a drag

Just got done writing Juan his sappy Valentines day card and just thought i would let everyone know that this boy is oh so very dear to me. One of my closest friends since freshmen year, i don't know what i would do without him, my corduroy sun ♥

Ode to the clip on's

  Oh my lovely clip on's, although my collection may seem meek, my love for clip on's is only growing. All of the beautiful earrings you see here were all graciously provided by he who is beloved world-wide, dear to you and I, Juan Mora, our beautiful corduroy sun. Juan has sparked a desire inside me for these specific accessories, i have gained about 15 new pairs of clip on's in just the past few weeks. I cannot thank Juan enough for getting me into such beautiful little things.

Month of hearts

Lets hope that this cold weather doesn't stay for to long . Its getting harder and harder to get ready in the morning . I promise you the cold affects us when we are trying to get ready , not to mention a goodnights sleep . Witch , we never seem to get , we are only ever given endless nights of staying up till 4:00 a.m. On spotify till our hearts our full of song and we decide that we want to go to sleep or just fall into it ! Anyways , January is gone and February has come say hello . The month of lovers ! or as me and Sommer call it ....... the month we go out to eat on valentines day and eat sushi and talk about how boys actually really suck and how being in a relationship just isn't what its cracked up to be to be completely honest . It just isn't worth the heartbreak sometimes . You need to know that you can wait and that there is plenty of time to fall in love . Focus on school , focus on what you love to do , but don't let yourself fall head over heels over some dumb boy . Its hard to listen , I know .... but its for the best guys I promise .

Dead Winter

        The dead of winter is here , how are we ever to know what to wear ..... like what a drag right ? I mean for some it comes naturally but I doesn't have to be hard. its chilly!, and we want to stay comfortable while looking good , or not ....... cause its nippy weather out there . What if you decide to wear a Colombia sweater ,some jeans, and sneakers ... I mean we cant look good all the time ! Forgot to have your coffee ..... having a bad day to?  I totally understand , I have been there , done that AND bought the T-shirt . Plus the weather in our school can vary so much ..... its ridiculous. Its coat weather in one while a sauna in the other . Its like a trip around the worlds various temperature's at school, but if your going to dress a drag just make it look good! Some print shoes , add on a brooch to a sweater . make sure your jeans are fitted what about adding a beanie? are ideas flowing through your head ? I thought so , I was hoping that would spark some inspiration :)

        Besides waking up late can always affect us to, I CANT DEAL ! UGH .

We Have Arrived

School dreading , coffee sippin' , music lovin', cool cats . We are the beginning to Corduroy Sun Velvet Moon . We the Owners , Juan Mora-amaral and Sommer Palmer whould like to tell you a little about what's going on over here! We met in Physical education our freshman year , and quickly bonded over our love of music and hate of running. (We both failed). Over the years as we grew from dirty grunge kids and strictly punk show lovers , we kept our head held high, sense of humor in the clouds and style eventually found us and the flying spaghetti monster in the sky made us bond closer together then we ever have before. What to do next? We share our biggest dreams and aspirations out loud with the passion of only wanting to succeed , and look good doing it .
Both of us want to create a delightful and electric approach to style ,an accessible, friendly "reader" that offers sophisticated but whimsical options in fashion for men and women  like us on the edge of glory. Finishing high school , creating a business , perhaps an aspiring music and art junkie . For us, there will always be an adventure on the prowl , and a new vision penned into our calendars. We know there are millions more of you out there who understand.
